1. Introduction
Welcome to Primetek Academy. By accessing our website, enrolling in any of our programs, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Primetek Academy is a multi-program training organisation delivering Codecamp (software development), Datacamp (data analytics), Cybercamp (cyber security) and Mediacamp (media production). Our programs are delivered in partnership with Orange Corners and with support from partner organisations including The MasterCard Foundation.
These Terms apply to both learning modes we offer,
the self-paced online vCamp platform and our live, cohort-based courses. Where a clause is specific to one of the two, the relevant mode is called out explicitly in the section.
2. Two ways to learn with us
Primetek Academy supports two complementary learning experiences. The clauses below apply to whichever mode you are enrolled in, except where stated otherwise.
vCamp platform (self-paced)
Online, on-demand courses you progress through at your own rhythm. Lessons, exercises, code labs, projects, certificates and reviewer feedback are delivered entirely through your dashboard at vcamp.primetek.academy. Access opens the moment your payment clears.
Live courses (cohort-based)
Instructor-led programs delivered live to a scheduled cohort, with a fixed start + end date, daily sessions, peer reviews and final project defence. Students get the vCamp platform too as a supporting resource.
3. Eligibility
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent.
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is the minimum academic requirement.
- Functional English proficiency is required for all programs.
- A stable internet connection is required to participate fully in online sessions.
4. Enrollment & Accounts
When you create an account or submit an application, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Primetek Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
5. Our commitment to you
Whether you are learning on the vCamp platform or in a live course, Primetek Academy is committed to giving you continuous, human support throughout your journey.
- Permanent WhatsApp lines,
direct chat with the support team for fast questions, blockers, payment issues and scheduling.
- Live in-app messages,
every course has a chat panel connecting you with mentors and your cohort in real time.
- Email support,
info@primetek.africa and sales@primetek.africa are monitored every business day for course-related, technical and billing questions.
- Discord community,
peer-to-peer help, project showcases, opportunities board and quick mentor pings, open 24/7.
- Friday meetups,
recurring live sessions where mentors take open questions, review submitted work and walk through industry topics. Open to every active learner.
- Personalised mentor & reviewers,
every enrolled student gets at least one mentor and a panel of reviewers attached to their work, so feedback is concrete and named, not anonymous.
- A dedicated 4-month readjustment program for any live-course student who needs extra runway to complete their final project.
6. Your commitment as a student
The quality of your learning experience depends on a two-way commitment. By enrolling, you agree to:
- Engage with the material,
open the lessons regularly, complete the exercises and submit projects on time, whether you are pacing yourself on vCamp or following a live cohort schedule.
- Attend the live sessions for live courses,
daily classes, Friday meetups, defences and reviews are part of the curriculum, not optional. Consistent absence may result in your seat being released.
- Respond to your mentor + reviewers within a reasonable window so feedback loops stay tight and you keep momentum.
- Use the support channels constructively,
WhatsApp, in-app chat, Discord and email are there for genuine questions, not for off-topic content, spam or harassment.
- Respect your peers + the community,
no harassment, discrimination, plagiarism or dishonest behaviour. The code of conduct (section 8) is enforced consistently.
- Keep your account secure,
do not share login credentials, do not redistribute course materials, and report suspicious activity immediately.
- Honour your payment obligations on time,
falling behind on agreed instalments (when applicable) can suspend access until the balance is settled.
7. Program commitment
Specifics depend on whether you are following a live course or learning on the vCamp platform.
- Live courses are intensive and project-based, run daily Monday to Friday on the published schedule, and require consistent attendance. Students who consistently fail to attend will be removed from the cohort.
- vCamp self-paced learners progress through the same project + review framework on their own schedule. Lifetime access to the course material is unlocked the moment the payment clears (subject to the access window stated at purchase).
- Regular assessments, peer reviews and continuous mentorship are part of every curriculum, in both modes.
- Graduates receive certification once they meet all project submission and evaluation requirements.
- Live-course students who need more time can join a dedicated 4-month readjustment program.
8. Code of conduct
All participants must respect fellow learners, instructors and staff. Harassment, discrimination, plagiarism and any form of dishonesty are strictly prohibited. Violation of the code of conduct may result in immediate removal from the program without refund.
9. Intellectual property
Projects and coursework created during the program belong to the team that built them. Primetek Academy may request non-commercial showcases of student work for educational and promotional purposes. All course materials, curricula and proprietary tools remain the intellectual property of Primetek Academy and may not be reproduced or distributed without written consent.
10. Payments
Tuition and payment terms are communicated during the onboarding process and vary by program and intake.
- All card-based payments (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) are securely processed by KilovoltsLab, our trusted technology partner for payment infrastructure.
- Mobile money and bank transfer options may also be available depending on your region.
- Payment plans and instalment options, where offered, must be honoured according to the agreed schedule.
- Failure to meet payment obligations may result in suspension of access to program materials and sessions.
11. Refund policy
- Refund eligibility depends on the date of official withdrawal relative to the program start date.
- Full refunds are available for withdrawals made before the program start date.
- Partial refunds may be issued for withdrawals within the first two weeks of the program.
- No refunds are provided after the first two weeks of a program.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@primetek.africa.
12. Partnerships
Primetek Academy operates in partnership with key organisations to deliver world-class training and opportunities:
- Orange Corners : A strategic partner in our entrepreneurship and innovation programs, supporting young African entrepreneurs with training, mentoring and access to networks.
- KilovoltsLab : Our technology partner responsible for secure card payment processing and payment infrastructure.
- International instructors : These are permanent and non parmanent trainers providing training and supporting learners, But also supporting our vision of enabling expanded access to training and education across Africa.
These partnerships enhance the quality of our programs and provide students with broader opportunities for growth, employment and entrepreneurship.
13. Data & privacy
We collect and store personal information (name, email, phone, location) solely for the purpose of managing enrollment, delivering programs and improving our services. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Payment information is processed securely by KilovoltsLab and is never stored on Primetek Academy servers.
14. Limitation of liability
Primetek Academy strives to provide the highest quality training but does not guarantee employment upon graduation. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of tuition fees paid by the student.
15. Changes to these terms
Primetek Academy reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
